海南外國語職業(yè)學院不是一本也不是二本院校，而是海南省的一所專科學校。
學院規(guī)劃用地650多畝，教學條件優(yōu)越。 擁有50多個校內培訓室，在全國各地建立了30多個校外實習培訓基地，設有國家職業(yè)教育研究院海南分院、海南省社會科普示范基地——東盟語言與文化推廣示范基地、國家開放大學(海南)文昌分校、海南省英語日語應用研究會、海南省應用外語研究基地等機構。
