新學年即將開始，我想正式地歡迎你們加入中黃(世界)書院。無論你是返校生還是新生，你們能進入我們的2019-2020學年，我們感到非常地高興。

Dear Parents and Students：

The new school year is about to begin, and I would like to officially welcome you to ZWWC. Whether you are a returning student or new, we are so happy to have you joining us for the 2019-2020 school year.

新學年即將開始，我想正式地歡迎你們加入中黃(世界)書院。無論你是返校生還是新生，你們能進入我們的2019-2020學年，我們感到非常地高興。

Lots of exciting things are happening at ZWWC and it is all for you! Our students’ bi-lingual skills are a focus for teachers as well as their academics. To be successful in the 21st?Century, proficiency in Mandarin and English will make you a valuable contributor to the community and to your family. We are also offering more opportunities for parents to communicate with staff regarding their children’s progress and to bring their concerns. Parents are also invited to meet with the Principal in an open discussion time on Friday afternoon. And for current and up to date information on students grades all parents will have access to the SchoolPal program.

中黃(世界)書院發(fā)生了很多令人興奮的事情，而這一切都是為了你們的到來！我們學生具備的雙語能力，和他們的學術(shù)課程一樣，都是老師們關(guān)注的焦點。為了在21世紀取得成功，漢語和英語的精通將使你成為社區(qū)和家庭的寶貴貢獻者。我們還為家長提供了更多機會，就家長的關(guān)注點和孩子的成長，與全體員工進行溝通。家長們還可以預約周五下午的時間與我們的校長見面。對于學生的學習動態(tài)，所有家長都可以通過學校的校寶系統(tǒng)進行查詢。


This past week the students have been very busy and involved in learning. Our new students left on Sunday afternoon to attend Camp which is located in Foshan from the week. Under the guidance of their instructors the students engaged in team building activities which helps to understanding the importance of team work even in the classroom.

在過去的這一周里，學生已經(jīng)開始很忙碌起來，投入到學習中。我們的新學生在周日下午離開學校去到佛山的一個營地參加拓展訓練。在導師的指導下，學生們進行團隊建設的活動，這將有助于學生理解團隊工作的重要性，即使是在課堂上。


Our returning students started their week completing a personality analysis. The goal of knowing about personality type is to understand and appreciate differences between people. As all personality types are equal, there is no best type. The students did additional work in researching careers that would best fit their personalities and then looking at the Universities best known for these careers and the admission requirements. After two days of working on this and providing a presentation they joined our new students at camp.

我們的返校生在這一周完成了他們的性格測試和分析，學習和了解各種人格類型，其目的是為了理解和諒解人與人之間的差異。因為所有的人格類型都是平等的，所以沒有最好的類型。學生根據(jù)自己的性格分析，同時研究了最適合他們的職業(yè)方向和發(fā)展，然后再去尋找那些與他們的職業(yè)發(fā)展相匹配的大學。經(jīng)過兩天的學習和演講，他們加入了我們的新學生的營地。


All students returned on Friday afternoon and they received their timetables and their textbooks for the new school year.

所有的學生都在星期五下午回來。他們已經(jīng)收到了新學年的上課時間表和課本。

The quality of our program is at the center of your success. Our teachers have been recruited from some of the best schools from around the world. They are experienced teachers, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they teach and fully committed to our students’ learning. Each teacher strives to develop close relationships with their students because understanding them is critical when supporting their learning. It is also important to learning that the students know the teachers care about their welfare and academic success.

我們的課程質(zhì)量是你成功的基石。我們的老師是從世界上最好的一些學校招聘來的。他們具有豐富的經(jīng)驗和見識，對教學充滿了熱情，為我們學生的學習全心全意地投入。每一位教師都努力與學生建立密切的關(guān)系，因為理解他們是支持他們學習的關(guān)鍵。更重要的是讓我們的學生知道老師關(guān)心他們的成長和學業(yè)，將讓他們在學習的道路上獲得更多的成功。

This is ZWWC’s second year and it will be both a promising and favorable year for all students. Thank you for being part of our learning community! Your learning, growth and success is our mission as an educator!

Mrs. Phyllis Roderick（菲利斯·羅德里克女士）學歷：碩士 - 升學指導 （東密歇根大學）Master of Schools Counseling in Eastern Michigan University本科 - 教育學（東密歇根大學）Bachelor of Education in Eastern Michigan University
管理經(jīng)驗：43年美國公立、私立學校及國際學校全面運營的工作經(jīng)歷；含30年以上的學校行政管理經(jīng)驗及國際學?；I建與發(fā)展的項目管理經(jīng)驗Rich experience in American Public and Private School and Chinese International School operation and management.
