對于許多人和小孩來說,留在家里鍛煉身體是一件很困難的事情,就讓TWIS的體育部Robert Loftman 老師和Jorge Villamayor 老師給大家一點動力,助你足不出戶也可以實現(xiàn)健康目標。
Getting healthy and staying fit can be a struggle for many people and children while staying at home, but with a little motivation from our PE Team, Mr. Robert Loftman and Mr. Jorge Villamayor at TWIS, we know that you can achieve your fitness and health goals even you cannot go outside.
受新型冠狀病毒疫情的持續(xù)困擾,TWIS不得不關閉校園的健身和體育設施,但這無阻我們繼續(xù)教學的工作!我們調(diào)動相關的人力和資源到TWIS線上課堂,讓學生仍然有機會學習所有科目,并從中發(fā)展他們的技能。因此,體育部必須發(fā)揮創(chuàng)意,掌握通過視頻會議向所有學生提供富有挑戰(zhàn)性的體育課程。有了這個平臺,學生就像在教室里學習有關營養(yǎng)和運動的知識或在球場上流著汗運動一樣。
As the outbreak of the Coronavirus continues to rattle the beloved country of China, we had to close all our health, fitness and sports facilities in our beautiful campus; however, that didn't stop us from continuing the teaching and learning process! We managed to mobilize our TWIS Virtual School where students still have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in all the subjects that we offer as a school. With that said the PE Department had to get creative and master the art of offering the robust PE Curriculum virtually to all students through a video conference platform. With this platform, it is almost like the students are in the classroom learning about nutrition and fitness or sweating it out on the courts.
此外,作為體育教師,我們很清楚教學可以通過許多不同的形式進行。我們利用Microsoft Teams與學生以視頻會議方式授課,他們可以在線上看到老師和同學們一起做平常在學校操練的運動動作。有了這種替代的教學方式,我們的學生能夠享受課堂的每一刻。利用線上平臺,體育老師不但親身示范,還會跟學生們一起做練習來激發(fā)大家的學習興趣、即時回答學生的問題、在線陪伴來鼓勵學生、通過創(chuàng)意有趣味的運動練習和例行活動來激發(fā)學生的學習興趣,使他們保持活躍、體態(tài)和健康,并期待在我們的指導下學生對體育領域的興趣日益增加。
Furthermore, as PE Teachers we know that teaching can be done through many different means. We can deliver our classes through the Microsoft Teams by video conferencing with our students where they see us and their classmates performing the various exercises and drills that we would normally do at school. With this vicarious way of teaching and learning our students are able to enjoy every waking moment of classes. We have also used the virtual platform to motivate students by demonstrating and doing the exercises with them, encourage students by answering their questions and being there for them virtually, stimulate students by using creative exercises and routines to keep them active, fit & healthy and develop students' interest more in the subject area on a daily basis through our instructions.

Finally, with our passion for the subject area, our kids have seen that great thrust of commitment in what we do as PE Teachers here at TWIS and that is the main driving force behind the PE Department delivering on the promise of "While I breathe, I explore, I hope.".

10 Tips for a Healthy Body and Mind While At Home
1.保持活力,每天運動鍛煉20-30分鐘。
Remain motivated by exercising 20- 30 minutes each day.

Make a list of daily exercises you can do.
3.多喝水。
Drink a lot of water.
4.多動少坐。
Play more and sit less.

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables.

踏入線上課堂的第三周,我們很高興看到學生越來越投入到網(wǎng)絡學習中,努力認真做功課,并享受當中的樂趣。

Stepping into the third week of Virtual School, we love to see our students have become more engaged in e-learning, working hard on the homework and enjoying doing so.
Wellbeing and health of our students is our prime concern. PE classes are adapted virtually so that students can stay physically active on a daily basis, and hence help them to establish healthy habits and routines in a supportive environment. We have edited a video with brilliant PE homework collected from some TWIS students. Hope you enjoy watching it and get motivated to exercise regularly while staying at home!
