今年，我們比以往任何時候都更加清晰地感受到：我們并非彼此的敵人。讓我們在這個時刻通過傳遞關(guān)愛與善意、播撒希望來慶祝國際和平日。

在本周的升旗儀式上，來自八年級的楊宇俊、吳佳儀就借國旗下講話之機(jī)，號召大家熱愛和平，珍愛生活!

尊敬的老師、親愛的同學(xué)們：

Dear teachers and students:

大家早上好!

Good morning!

今天我講話的題目是“熱愛和平，珍愛生活”。

Today my topic is “l(fā)ove peace, love life”.

2001年9月7日，聯(lián)合國大會通過決議，決定從2002年開始，將每年的9月21日定為國際和平日。大會宣布，國際和平日為全球?；鸷头潜┝θ眨⒑粲跛袊液腿嗣裨谶@一天停止敵對行動。

On the 7th September , 2001, the United Nations has adopted a resolution to designate September 21st as the international day of peace from 2002. The United Nations declared the international day of peace as the day of global cease-fire and non-violence. The United Nations also called on all countries and peoples to stop their hostile actions on that day.

聯(lián)合國會徽上的和平鴿和金色的橄欖枝，它們都代表著和平，象征著和平。可以說，渴望和平是全世界人民的美好心愿，社會發(fā)展需要和平，生活需要和平，家庭需要和平。

The dove of peace and the golden olive branch on the emblem of the United Nations represent peace. In other words, people all over the world are eager for peace. The society needs peace, life needs peace, and family needs peace.

可是，在世界大戰(zhàn)已經(jīng)結(jié)束了半個多世紀(jì)的今天，世界并不安寧，不少國家和地區(qū)仍籠罩在戰(zhàn)爭的陰影中，成千上萬的平民因戰(zhàn)爭流離失所、飽受痛苦，甚至失去了寶貴的生命。戰(zhàn)爭是無情的，它摧毀了人們美好、幸福的家園，剝奪了許多無辜人們的生命，我們不會忘記珍珠港上的滾滾濃煙，也不會忘記塞爾維亞那7000名被殘殺的人民，更不會忘記富麗堂皇的圓明園被英法聯(lián)軍踐踏得面目全非……

The world war has ended for more than half a century. However, the world is not peaceful. Many countries and regions are still suffering from the war. Tens of thousands of people have been displaced and even lost their precious lives. The war is cruel. It has destroyed people's home and killed people. We will not forget the smoke on Pearl Harbor, the 7000 dead people in Serbia, and our Yuanmingyuan that has been burnt by fascists

要和平，不要戰(zhàn)爭!這是不可阻擋的時代潮流，也是全世界熱愛和平的人的共同心愿。我們不僅要讓“國際和平日”這一天呈現(xiàn)出和平的景象，還要讓每一天都成為“和平日”。

Peace, not war! This is the trend of the times and the hope of peace loving people all over the world. We should not only call on peace on the international day of peace, but also call on peace everyday.

那作為一個普通的中學(xué)生，該怎樣捍衛(wèi)世界和平呢?

As a student, how to defend world peace?

首先，要珍惜來之不易的和平生活，身在福中要知福。

First of all, cherish peaceful life.

其次，好好學(xué)習(xí)，掌握本領(lǐng)，只有實力強(qiáng)大，才能捍衛(wèi)和平。

Secondly, study hard and learn skills because only when we are strong enough, can we defend peace.

第三，作為具有中國靈魂、世界眼光的IB學(xué)子，我們既要有心系祖國、胸懷世界的情懷，更要從小樹立為致力于世界和平而努力的遠(yuǎn)大志向。就像17歲就獲得世界諾貝爾和平獎的馬拉拉一樣，在自己的社區(qū)、國家乃至整個世界的舞臺為世界和平盡一份自己的力量。

Thirdly, as an IB student with a Chinese soul and a global view, we should have the feelings of caring for our motherland and the world. We also should devote ourselves to defending world peace. Just like Malala, who won the world Nobel Peace Prize at the age of 17, she has contributed to world peace on the stage of her own community, country and the world.

同學(xué)們，讓我們向全世界許下我們美好的心愿：我們熱愛和平，渴望和平，我們反對霸權(quán)主義，反對侵略戰(zhàn)爭，反對破壞安定團(tuán)結(jié)的一切活動，愿和平鴿銜著橄欖枝永遠(yuǎn)翱翔在碧空藍(lán)天!

Students, we are eager for peace and love peace. we fight against hegemonism, war of aggression, and all activities that destroy stability and unity. May peace dove fly in the blue sky forever with olive branch!
