大連理工大學(xué)（大工，Dalian University of Technology），創(chuàng)建于1949年，坐落于大連市，是教育部直屬全國重點大學(xué)，教育部與國防科技工業(yè)局共建高校，教育部、遼寧省、大連市共建高校，是“世界一流大學(xué)”“985工程”“211工程”重點建設(shè)高校。該校入選“2011計劃”“111計劃”“卓越工程師教育培養(yǎng)計劃”“國家建設(shè)高水平大學(xué)公派研究生項目”“新工科研究與實踐項目”、中國政府獎學(xué)金來華留學(xué)生接收院校、國家實施工程教育改革試點高校、“國家大學(xué)生創(chuàng)新性實驗計劃”“國家級大學(xué)生創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)訓(xùn)練計劃”、全國深化創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)教育改革示范高校、全國高校實踐育人創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)基地、高?？萍汲晒D(zhuǎn)化和技術(shù)轉(zhuǎn)移基地。該校是卓越大學(xué)聯(lián)盟、中俄工科大學(xué)聯(lián)盟、中俄交通大學(xué)聯(lián)盟、中歐工程教育平臺、中國人工智能教育聯(lián)席會成員。[1]

大連理工大學(xué)的前身是創(chuàng)建于1949年4月的大連大學(xué)工學(xué)院。1950年7月大連大學(xué)工學(xué)院獨立為大連工學(xué)院。1981年11月，學(xué)校成為全國首批博士和碩士學(xué)位授予單位。1988年3月更名為大連理工大學(xué)。

Dalian University of Technology (DOF), founded in 1949, is located in Dalian City. It is a national key University directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education. It is a University jointly built by the Ministry of Education and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence. It is one of the "World-Class University", "Project 985" and "Project 211" universities under key construction. The school to be included in the "2011 project" and "111 project", "outstanding engineers education training plan" "national construction under high level university graduate student project" "new engineering project" research and practice, the Chinese government scholarship students receiving institutions in China, national implementation of engineering education reform pilot colleges and universities, "national college students' innovative experiment plan" "national college students' innovative undertaking National Demonstration University for Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform, National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Practical Education in Colleges and Universities, and Base for the Transformation and Transfer of Scientific and Technological Achievements in Colleges and Universities. It is a member of the Alliance of Excellent Universities, the Alliance of China-Russia Engineering Universities, the Alliance of China-Russia Transportation Universities, the China-Europe Engineering Education Platform, and the China Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence Education. Dalian University of Technology (DUT) was formerly known as the School of Engineering of Dalian University, which was founded in April 1949. In July 1950, School of Engineering of Dalian University became Dalian Institute of Technology. In November 1981, the university became one of the first institutions in the country to grant doctoral and master's degrees. 1988 March, it was renamed Dalian University of Technology.
